Viva Bougainvillea!
Bougainvillea is a flowering plant or vine that is often used as an ornamental plant. The plant produces flowers many times a year. The flowers come in an array of colors, from purple and pink to deep bright red, orange and yellow. Bougainvillea plants are actually woody vines with thorny horns, which are native to South American countries. They are often referred as desert vines and are largely grown as ornamental plants in flower gardens, entryways and family yards in the American Southwest....like here in The Sonoran Desert and Tucson Valley. Mine are growing on the back wall by the pool. Oh yeah, walls are really big out here. We'll cover those on another visit.
Enjoy these wonderful images of of the flowering Bougainvillea. I've included some of the web location's so please visit a few to learn more about this wonderful plant.
